Cigna insurance

Hi all! New here and just made my first appointment to see the surgeon. I'm wondering if anyone has dealt with Cigna for their surgery? Is it a 3 or 4 month waiting period? Thanks!

@@mnopali - They cannot submit to Cigna for approval until all appointments are done. (They require the NUT visits to be spaced apart and take at least 89 days - or at least what it was last year.) So your first NUT appointment starts the clock ticking and then you have 3 followup appointments (about 3 months). Then Cigna takes 1 to 2 week (usually) to respond and then you get a surgery date (once approved). SO, 4 months might be a little quick, but I would say you could look at 4 to 5 months. My first consolation was January 20, 2015 and I had surgery on June 4, 2015.
