I just have to say that today I want to eat something real bad!!! On day 5 of liquid only preop diet, surgery is Thursday. As I'm getting ready to cook dinner for my family I want to sneak a taste. And my body feels real weak today at least I know I only have 2 more days after this. Surgery is on the 31st and I know I'll be all liquids after that but I am hoping it will be a little easier considering the sleeve will be helping me.

Stay strong! You can do it!! Think of the reward at the end.

Thanks Monie. I haven't given in to any of the temptations yet! And I know I want to do everything I can to prepare for a successful surgery. But it is hard. I've spent the last two hours trying to talk myself into the protein drink, just not super fond of them. But I know I have to do I will and you are right the reward is worth it!

I dont know how you people do it with family to cook for. I have dietician appointme t on thursday so need to keep to the plan now. Only last night i stopped to think what life will be like a year post op or even 6mths post op. I have spent months trying to find out every single thing that could go wrong pre and post op but hadnt stopped to consider the positives of life after. How weird is that? I am not sure that it is real to me yet. This time next week, wow, still in hospital but all over. I'll ne thinking of you Monie.

I'll try to post that night. We'll see how it goes....

Starting day 1 of my 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. Surgery set for April 13th! Mind over matter is what will get me through this next month. Looking forward to this support group to get me through as well!

I know how you are feeling. It is mind over matter, keep yourself busy. As long as you have enough Protein you will be fine. If you need support jump online. I had to do 2 wks of limited liquids.

Day 5 here. Surgery is 4/4. Super sick of everything being sweet. My hubby was wonderful and went to the local hibachi place to get me some of that clear onion broth they bring you before your meal. It was amazing and saved the day!
