One 2 days post op! PAINFUL

I wish I could have been one of the luck ones that didn't get much pain. But man gastric bypass hurts obviously it's going to but I didn't think my body would react this way. On the first night every time I would go to the restroom I would throw up. Having really bad nausea. A sharp pain and gas feeling in the upper part of my chest/stomach area. I've gone pee probably 20 times with all the fluids. Let me say this is NOT an easy journey. But I can't wait to get past this road bump! Best wishes to everyone else. Any questions please ask ....

Those first few days are the worst. Try Gas-X for the gas and/or a heating pad. Hang in there!

Thank you the encouragement. I've honestly never been in so much pain in my entire life. I think it's mostly a gas pain. Doc just came in and said I'll be going home today. Thank god! But fear is kickin in! So afraid of failure. Getting enough fluids in is harder than I thought.:(

Everytime it hurts I tell myself wth did you do Christina why did you do this :(

I did the same as well as many others on here. This is a long journey with many ups and downs but I promise you it is worth it! Check in and let us know how you are doing.

I'm 7 days post op with the sleeve and have the same pain you are describing. It's horrible. It's gotten a little better. Hope you are feeling better.
