Best Blender for Puree & Shakes?

I am happy to say I'm finally on Puree stage! However, I have had a dizzying time trying to find a good blender. I tried to go cheap and bought a black and decker from Walmart today. NO go. It was to big and tall to puree my small cup of chili, and it was very lumpy even after pureeing for a while.

I have been reading that the Magic Bullet & the Ninja (but not sure which model) are good. Please let me know if there is a particular blender that works well for you for puree and Protein shakes.

Thank you!

Thank you for the responses. So, unfortunately I can't afford the Vitamex, so I think I have to go with another. Pureeing food is what I'm most concerned about. I've read to many blenders put air in shakes and it leads to gas. So, I'll stick with puree foods. Still not sure which is the best for puree.
