2 month mark & down 50 lbs!

Recommended Posts

I'm so excited! And THANKFUL that the weight is really coming off! Now, I've hit a stall or two during these first 2months & I've had to exercise & keep a sharp eye on what I'm eating & Portion Control, but this procedure has been the best decision I've made. I'm filled with so much hope for the future (& the near future involves spring & summer) & that's a gift I have not always possessed. Grateful!!!!

WOW! 50 pounds down in 2 months that is fantastic. Has that been since your surgery day?

If I may ask, about how many ounces are you able to eat at one time? I am 6 weeks out and suffering with pain every time I eat. Some times I am able to only eat 1 1/2 to 2 ounces other times I can get about 1/2 cup down depending on what the food is.

Congratulations!! Do you mind if I ask what your starting weight was? I'm only down 48 lbs and I'm 5 months post op!

I'm usually able to just eat 1/4 cup. I haven't been measuring in ounces yet. I find that I probably eat every 2 hrs--sometimes it takes me a while to finish the 1/4 cup. I'm right there with you--sometimes I can eat 1/2 cup & sometimes I feel stuffed after 2-3 bites. Makes no sense, but I just go with it! Good luck to you!!!

My starting weight was 268 & I'm 218 now. I am counting the 2 weeks weight loss prior to surgery. I was 253 on day of surgery. This is an interesting journey--some weeks I'll stay the same weight & some I'll lose 4-5lbs. My goal is to lose 8-10lbs a month, but ultimately, I guess I'll just see what my body decides to do. Keep up the good work!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
