Hello everyone,

I currently 6 weeks away from having my sleeve done and am so looking foward to it. Just checking to see if there are any of VA sleevers around having surgery soon. I am with Dr. Fritzer at VA Bariatric Surgery Center out in Reston.

I love this website and have so much useful information thus far.

I have my last 6 month visit on the 10th then I see my surgeon in Richmond to set a date!!!! Dr Brengman

Not getting sleeved in April. Psych appt set for April but was excited to others from VA. I'm in Richmond. Getting sleeved at VCU.

I work at the hospital at VCU. So the surgery is better covered with my insurance.

St. Mary's has a good bariatric program. A couple of friends were patients there. They are all happy. I just wish the process was moving faster. I don't need a sleep study to qualify but I'm going to have one because I need it. I also need a endoscopy. Just waiting for scheduling. I was hoping to get some of it done while I was waiting for the psych appt in April.

@@curlyj74 yea it can feel slow I feel surgery is forever away and its next month. I didn't do a sleep study or endoscopy my requirements weren't that bad compared to most

Hi everyone, March 10 surgery date. My surgery will be at Inova Fair Oaks in Fairfax, Dr Rajev Nain. I would like to keep in touch with my fellow NOVA sleevers. Good luck to all!
