  1. St. Mary's has a good bariatric program. A couple of friends were patients there. They are all happy. I just wish the process was moving faster. I don't need a sleep study to qualify but I'm going to have one because I need it. I also need a endoscopy. Just waiting for scheduling. I was hoping to get some of it done while I was waiting for the psych appt in April.

  3. I work at the hospital at VCU. So the surgery is better covered with my insurance.
  4. Not getting sleeved in April. Psych appt set for April but was excited to others from VA. I'm in Richmond. Getting sleeved at VCU.
  5. You look amazing. Not just your body but you look happy . As a fellow nurse who works with burn patients, put some sunscreen on girl!
  6. I could have written this myself! After breastfeeding I shot back up quick . My daughter is 2.5. I don't want to be the "fat" mom forever. Good luck mama!
  7. May I ask who your surgeon was?
  8. I was looking at VCU but in doing more research I think I have to go to St. Mary's. I have UHC and I'm not sure if I have to use one of their "centers of excellence" or not so that would limit where I go. I called UHC and the surgery is part of my plan but I have to call their bariatric resource center tomorrow to find out more. They do more sleeves at St. Mary's I think so it's probably better either way. On a weird side note, I need to figure out how tall I am. I always thought I was 5'3 but I guess I should make sure so my BMI is accurate...
  9. Richmond here. Just getting started with navigating insurance and whatnot...
  10. Where do you guys mainly get your support after surgery in Mexico? I worry about not having the surgery here and not having the best support back home. I'm not close with my PCP. I go rarely only when I'm sick...
