Did anyone have a heavy chest after surgery?

I'm two days post op and my chest hurts even to breathe like i spiked a whole pack of cigs or something I been using the spirometer and I can get up to 3000 so I'm assuming it's decent I'm thinking the intibation was harsh on my chest anyone else experience the same?

I had similar pain but I just made myself get up and walk so that I was forcing myself to breathe deeply. If it gets worse or if you spike a fever, call your RN to see what you should do.

anything i felt in my chest, and honestly i thought it was a heart attack a few times, was all attributed to gas- i'm a week out- and it's finally just about gone....

I have had the same pain. It gets worse if I bend over. I am pretty sure it's just gas and some reflux but I was scared too. Glad to know I am not the only one.

Right... My chest pain is the worst when I wake up in the morning and it goes away through out the day I'm glad too that I'm not the only one
