Hello. I am new to the group. Last week my wife and I went to an informational meeting with a surgeon. The doctor recommended we have the gastric sleeve. Our first one on one meeting is next Friday. I am so nervous. I have been obese my entire life and morbidly obese for the past 8 years. We are in Ohio and have united health care insurance through state medicaid. I have called the insurance and they do cover bariatric surgery. I am anxious to get started on the 6 months diet or whatever the surgeon requests. I just wanted to say hello.

Welcome to the group! I would make sure to do all your own research about the different options and be prepared to discuss / ask questions you go see the dr. Make a list of questions. It helps when you get in there.

Good luck!
