Liquid diet question

My first day liquid diet and I got tomato basil soup...it has little chunks of tomato in it. Did I just destroy my hopes of surgery?! I'm being dramatic. But did I hurt anything?

I doubt you have destroyed your hopes for surgery. As long as you follow your surgeon's guidelines (and don't make it up yourself), you should be fine.

Is this the pre-op liquid diet to reduce your liver or the day before surgery clear liquid diet that you are talking about?

Yea it is. They said I could have cream soups as long as it had been run through a blender. I'm on the road for work and don't have a blender on me.

I doubt you did any damage. I just had some of that soup today minus the tomato chucks and basil. I am 9 days post op and it was a nice change from the chicken and beef Protein soup I was drinking. I added some Protein powder to it and had it for my Breakfast. I am looking forward to the day when I can enjoy it with the tomato and basil. I also think this soup might make a nice dish with cheese when I am off of the liquid phase.
