Any advice?

Hello. Any advice how to survive the 2 week pre op liquid diet? I'm trying to go in with a positive mind set. It's definitely gonna be a hard 2 weeks it seems like.

keeping in mind that it was for my surgery was a help for me. also, finding a good broth and Protein drink i liked was important. you can do it! just keep in mind why you're doing this!

The pre op diet was super rough for me. If you Doctor lets you, drink tons of 1% or low fat milk mixed in with you unflavored protein and stay hydrated with lots of water. It'll all be worth it in a few weeks! Best of luck to you!

Just keep thinking about the end goal. Keep telling yourself it's only two weeks

Also it helped me to have lots of sugar free ice pops during both the pre op and post op liquid phases

Sugar free Popsicles saved me! If your doctor lets you have those

And jello!

Thank you everyone for the advice. I'm definitely ready to get this over with. It will be here soon enough though. I really appreciate all the help!

Yep, it's gonna be hard, but it's just part of the process. Keep focused on your end goal and don't get caught up in every little discomfort along the way. In the end, two weeks is a fraction of time compared to the months and years of being a thinner, healthier you.

And if you think the preop is hard, wait till you get to maintenance! I've put myself on a voluntary liquid "preop" diet numerous times in the last year in order to drop those few pounds that temd to creep on. It's just another tool to use to obtain and keep that ultimate prize we all had WLS for in the first place.
