Heartburn

Does everyone get it? I'm pre op but preparing myself with all the supplies i need before my surgery in two weeks. It seems that many people suffer from severe heartburn. Is this true? What can i get just in case I end up with heartburn. Will it be for the rest of my life?

Thanks!

Hmm. I didn't experience this. Just took it as prescribed and didn't have a problem. It is interesting how different each person's experience can be.

My surgeon prescribed 2 months of omeprazole post-op. You should discuss with your surgeon before-hand beforeyou just buy it over the counter. It can be cheaper with a prescription, plus I was prescribed 40mg and the OTC version is only 20mg.

Im going to give it a try now that im 4 days postop and feeling a little better. Thanks!

I just took my prescribed omeprazole 20mg with sfj and it was better. Still nasty but better than the first time. I have to take it for 90 days!!????
