Waiting for Approval

So Friday I should be finding out if I am approved for wls or not... Its been 3 months since my initial appointment and I'm so impatient! Does anyone have tips for making this week go by faster than a snail on a hot day??

Also, I have been doing loads of research as well as watching YouTube vlogs to have a general idea of how things may go.

I spent so much time watching you tube videos prior to my approval, it was insane. I was engrossed in everything I could find on the internet. I started following certain people who had similar stats as me, such as height/weight. Folks who had to gain some weight to be approved. (I had to gain a little before my first appt, or I would have been denied). Educating yourself is not a bad thing, and it can help pass the time while you wait the long wait. Best of luck to you.

I feel like I might be obsessed with wanting to know every side to surgery haha, but thank you :)

I am the same way. My surgeon's office sent in the request last monday. I called my insurance for an update on Friday and they said it hasn't been processed yet and to call back Monday. This has been such a long weekend lol!

You've already waited 3 mos. Think of this week as the proverbial "light at the end of the tunnel." Don't fixate on the surgery because that will make the week last longer. Engross yourself with reading, family, etc.

Start getting prepared.Preop/post op foods supplies and planning.

Go ahead and give up caffeine and carbonation. Practice taking small bites, chewing each one 33 times, and not drinking with your meals.

Good luck!
