Ginger Ale

Not sure if I'm in correct forum, but: I'm 8 weeks post Rouen Y surgery, all is well with exception of getting enough Water in Have problems getting minimal 64oz let alone 88oz or better

I find diet no caffeine ginger ale works great for me no pains, no problems at all Takes 30 mins to drink 12 oz but stays down

Called Nutritionist and she remarked it was not her first choice but if water was problematic and it worked, go for it

Any other experiences?

Tom

I've been told that I am not allowed any carbonated beverages at all. I would think that Ginger Ale (diet or not) is not a good idea. I personally would stay away from it. Especially at 8 weeks post op. Crystal light is a better option.

6+ months out and I have yet to have anything carbonated.

I was also told carbonated drinks are off limits. They'll fill you up and expand your pouch. (at least this is what I was told). I love diet ginger ale too!
