Pain in left side near belly button

I am about 3 1/2 weeks out from surgery and I have the worst burning, stabbing pain in my left side near my belly button. I can't lay down or sit for long periods of time because of the pain. Did anyone else experience this and if so how long did it last? I need sleep!!!

yes this happen to me at the larger incision sight .but my very first question is do you have a fever?

I developed and infection and became septic , had to have surgery to clean out incision sight, I was not closed I was packed, had to heal from inside out , nurse came to house everyday to unpack and repack hole in abdomen ... Hmmm about 6 months of discomfort

I had it also. I think I might have had a small tear somewhere. It felt like a stitch pulling. It was pretty bad. One day I woke up and it was gone with only a lingering soreness/tenderness sensation. I think that was about a month out. This was at the main incision and it was bad enough to bring tears to my eyes. No pain after that.
