Vitamins

Hi everyone, I am pre-op but wanted to ask others who are post-op about the vitamin patches? Is anyone using them and do they work well? I have a hard time not gagging when I take alot of big pills so was looking into liquids and saw something about a patch. Hoping to purchase my vitamins soon so I can start and be ready for surgery before and after. Thanks!!!

it sounds like several folks have had success with them - although some still have to supplement a couple of things. You could give them a shot and see what your labs look like - then supplement on whatever you're a bit a low on

I have used the multi vitamin patch by Patch MD. I didn't have blood work done so I don't know the actual results. I have extremely sensitive skin and eventually developed a sensitivity to the patch. I hate to just waste them so I use one about once a week. If I use it for one day out of a week I don't start itching from it. I guess I haven't been much help.

I'm interested in the patch as well. Did you move it around to different parts of your body?

I would change from one arm to the other and move the location. I wouldn't expect anyone else to be sensitive to the patches. My skin is hyper sensitive (starting when I was born, hereditary). I debated about whether to even mention that because I would still be using the patches had I not been sensitive. In felt that I should mention it in case someone else has known skin sensitivities.
