I am 6 weeks post op as of yesterday. Overall, I feel pretty great. Is it too early to go to a theme park and ride rollercoasters? I haven't had any issues with motion sickness before but I'm not sure how I would handle it now that I've had this surgery.

PS I'm asking here because the nurse at my surgeon's office wouldn't give me a straight answer. Just wondering if anyone can speak from experience.

I'd say to be cautious. The type of harness, how extreme the coaster is...you don't want anything getting squeezed or otherwise manipulated when you're still healing.

I was cleared at week 3 by my surgeon. Went to universal and had a blast on all of the Harry Potter stuff with the kids.

What is the content of not a straight answer from the nurse? There usually is a hint.

She was telling me "Hmm I don't know. I'm not sure. Nobody has asked that before."

Another nurse finally called me back and said it was fine. She said I wouldn't damage anything inside but might have some motion sickness.

Have fun! Maybe she was new. I would still be really cautious about the type of harness, but it's up to you.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
