What is sugar alcohol? Can we have it or not? I am reading conflicting information. Thanks!

I'm no expert...but my basic understanding is Sugar alcohols are derivatives from sugar used in sugar free products to sweeten things. Instead of ending in -ose (like glucose) it ends in -ol. (I think Sorbitol is one).

Some people dump on sugar alcohols. (I don't). I've never been told they are not allowed by my team. Other find sugar alcohols make them bloated.
