  • Here is what I use for a typical batch of guacamole: 4 Haas avocados, cilantro, juice of 3 limes squeezed with pulp, 2 jalapeños (frenched & diced....no seeds or pith), 2 tomatoes, 1 sweet onion

  • Some great guac recipes here and even beautiful food porn (thanks, Dub).

  • Any suggestions on something salty or crunchy to eat with guacamole? I love the stuff, but I haven't made any because I associate it so strongly with tortilla chips. Hmmm... Maybe toasted turkey p

No recipe, I keep it simple:

avocado

finely diced red onion

jalapeño to taste

lime juice

diced tomato

salt & pepper to taste

Since I eat avocado with pretty much everything, it goes on whatever is handy. Tossed in salads, in lettuce wraps or topping black Beans and salsa. My favorite brunch is black beans, over shredded lettuce with a sunny side up egg, shredded cheese, guac and salsa
