Sign to consent

Hello, on October 21 I have to go see the surgeon to sign the papers to consent for surgery I guess? I want to know what will happen after I sign the papers. Can anyone tell me? Thank you. I'm very excited , I think I'm close to the surgery date.

Nothing or EVERYTHING may happen after you sign the consent forms. Regardless of a surgery date or insurance approval you surgeon's office needs those forms signed and on file with their office and with the surgical center.

The forms are protocol and don't necessarily signal that you'll have a surgery date before you leave that day. Or it may mean they have an approval and once the forms are signed, they'll assign you a surgery date.
