  1. Hello everyone, Im almost done with the process of getting surgery. I don't know which one I should do. Its between the gastric bypass and the gastric sleeve. I want something that will help me long term , that will help me for a long time. I'm 27 years old. I heard the sleeve could get stretched out. I just want some advice or what which one would pick? I'm leaning towards the gastric bypass. Thank you in advance ????

    Gastric bypass risks.

Just an update. Im 29 years old now. After this post i found out i was pregnant. I had to put the surgery on hold. It was a surprise. Well i had my baby and after i had her i went to see my bariatric doctor and in less then 6 to 7 months i got my surgery done on december 2, 2015. I got the gastric bypass surgery. I was at my highest weight of 280lbs. I am now 170 lbs. I feel awesome. Im not at my goal weight yet. Im kinda stuck on a stall rigjt now. I might try the 10 day pouch reset to see if it helps. I started day 1 today. And i just ate a pretzel. Lol do i have to start over? ???? I want to thank you all for your kind words and advice. I really am happy that i did tgis surgery. I feel so energized and happy with myself. I am also a vegan. For some reason i cant eat meat so i decided to become a vegan. Thank you all ❤❤????????

  6. Hello everyone. I am 13 days post op. Im in the liquid stage. I have a quetion. Is 6oz of protein shake too much for now? My dr said my tummy can hold 4oz for now. But im still hungry after the 4 oz so ill drink 6oz then im fine. Im just so scared that even this surgery wont help me lose weight. Im so depressed with myself. I do feel like im losing inches and maybe some weight. I know i just had my bypass done but i just feel so sad and im scared that this wont help me. Thank you for those who take the time to reply.
  7. The only person i told was my sister and brother. I asked them not to say anything about it to anyone. My husband dosent even know i had the gastric bypass done on December 2nd. He was very against it when i told him about it. So i did it behind his back. I want to tell him. But im scared what he would think ???? On December 2nd i went in to have my gall bladder removed and had the bypass done all in one shot. My husband thinks i just had my gall bladder removed. Its hurting me inside that i cant share this journey with him ????????

And now the real challenge is here. To eat right and do what i can to keep myself healthy. Im very happy. Thank you all.
