What's for breakfast?!

So what are some of your favorite breakfast go-to's? I love cooking but I've never been a big breakfast person. One of my favorite and simple breakfasts is salmon lox. I know it's not going to appeal to everyone but it does ok on covering a lot of the nutrients I'm looking for. I very rarely eat any bread products but these English muffins are ok for me. I've added the totals for my breakfast. My tracker doesn't subtract for dietary fiber so my carbs would be 9. I'm aware that it's not a lot of calories but it's all my stomach can handle in the am. No, I don't eat and drink. I still wait 30 mins before and after. I've tried to drink with food once and it was not pretty! So what do you eat for breakfast?! I use to be a shake girl but I'm trying to get away from so many shakes! I MUST have my coffee, if it comes between coffee or food sadly I will chose coffee. My son knows his momma! Ha! don't judge!

Have you guys had Power Crunch bars?? They are AMAZING!!

I just had the vanilla one the other day. Found it at Vitamin Shoppe. Amazing how good they are. I also found Quest brand Peanut Butter Cups. Those are a little rough to handle.

Usually a half of the small cup of yogurt with fruit before my workout. My favorite go to post workout breakfast is smoked salmon with scrambled eggs with cheese and some fruit.

@@dlappjr I saw those peanut butter cups at GNC but I passed on them. Glad I did now.

They might go good with a no sugar added low fat frozen yogurt. The outside chocolate is like a normal peanut butter cup taste. The inside is like they packed a pocket full of dry pb2 powder in it. Its very dry. Like, you might as well visit a desert and eat a plate of sand.

@@dlappjr lol! No thank you! Sounds like a choking hazard and I'm not going out with a PB cup in my mouth.....especially not a FAKE one!

HaHaHa! Yeah if its going to be something I eat that brings me down, it better be the real thing!

Oh BTW when you go to search for the bars make sure you put "power" and not just crunch bars......stupid nestle and their stupid chocolate bars raping my eyes!!

I have. My issue is the low Protein to calorie ratio. Over 200 calories for only 13 grams of protein doesn't seem like much of a bargain to me. The Combat Crunch bars I've switched to have 20 grams of protein for the same amount of calories.

Has anyone tried the bariatricpal bars? I saw them on the FB site. I didn't know we had them. I know @@Alex Brecher said they were opening up a store. Is that part of it?

We didn't "officially" launch the BariatricPal Store yet. it's online now and we'll be shipping starting Monday morning. Let me know your (honest) thoughts, please!

This is true. I also remember them having a slightly higher sugar and carb count than a traditional Protein Bar. I think I like them more as an occasional snack, rather than an meal replacement/main source of Protein.

Breakfast is the WORST for me. Running around trying to get the kids ready to go is too time consuming. I grab a Lite Greek Yogurt with fruit for breakfast. 12g of Protein, 90 Calories, 9 Carbs. A little high on the carbs but I eat a lot of protein the rest of the day so I don't get a lot more carbs unless they are from veggies.
