Multi chewable vitamin

So I wasted almost $40 on Bariatric Advantage chewable multivitamin. It is so bitter it makes me vomit. Does anyone know how the Celebrate chewable multivitamin tastes and which flavor is the best?

  • I take Trader Joe's High Potency chewable multi's. They taste fine, are cheaper, lower calorie, and lower carb than virtually every other vitamin out there. My labs have always been great.

  • Centrum makes a chewable with iron. Orange flavored and not horrible

I take Bariactiv but it looks like you can only get them with Nascobal prescription. I like them, I take them on an empty stomach all the time no issues.

My doctor says Flintstones complete with iron or any multi with 400mg folic acid 18mg of iron and 500mg of b12 month after surgery start calcium citrate

Chewable multivitamins stink! So, I thought I was clever when I purchased a bottle of liquid multivitamin. ...holy moly! I was waaaaaay wrong! I didn't get sick, but I wanted to. The blood rushed to my face and my neck and face got itchy!

I honestly don't want to continue putting things in my mouth that aren't a necessary. ...that's kind of, sort of why I had my surgery in the first place! ;) I ordered the multivitamin transdermal patches last night and look forward to getting them on Monday. One thing that I don't have to worry about taking that I KNOW is going to make me feel blah!

If you have a target near you I found this new brand called oily and its a woman's complete gummy and they taste really good. I took them to my NUT and she said they were fine!

Oh geez! Watch out for the iron supplements! Constipation is such an issue, and iron makes it worse!

Low Iron will make you anemic and it will cause hair loss. By the time you find out, its already too late, so don't ignore your iron. I know for a fact i can't eat enough in a day to get my iron and other Vitamins in without a supplement.

I did NOT love the Celebrate berry flavored multi but I finished them!Luckily I can swallow a vitamin now. Whew.

I've tried a few different chewables.

Some taste better than others, but none have been objectionable.

FWIW, I could crunch on Flinstones and be content.

I like the Bariatric Support from Twinlab multi vitamin. Not crazy about the iron or calcium though.

Go to Puritan.com I've found a lot of chewables there and they aren't expensive. I got the calcium tablets that taste like coffee, the fruity Vitamin D and the dissolvable Biotin...other than that I'm taking two Flinstones a day.

@@OutsideMatchInside I also take the BariActiv chewables but cannot stand the Calcium pills AT ALL. Are you able to chew them ok or are you doing anything special with them?

My NUT recommended letting them dissolve in Water and then taking them (and even suggested adding a Crystal Light in with the water to mask the flavor) but even the thought of that makes me nauseous.

They are huge horse pills! They break up/apart easy. So I just hold them in my mouth and drink Water, and they melt away pretty fast, and I don't taste that much of them. The Iron pills are what annoy me, they are too sweet. The multi is the best of the bunch.

While these pills are annoying, the Bariactiv pills have the lowest calories and carbs of any chewables I have looked at and they are practitioner grade. So even for their annoyance, they are very good quality.

Centrum citrus chewable

I have tried 3-4 vitamins as my surgeon and nut says we have to take huge amounts for life. Vitamins are the only thing that has caused vomiting. I just got vitamin patches and so far no problems - I assume they are working. I have shipped back one type, going to try selling a non opened bottle and another I will take back to the store.

  • 2 weeks later...

So, I just received the call regarding my 6 week labs. All levels are great, so it seems like the multivitamin transdermal patch works as well as they claim!

I have tried every bariatric vitamin.

Most leave an aftertaste, smell awful or very chalky.

The best tasting one is the Bariatric Fusion mixed berry Soft chews. They are so good, they don't taste or smell like a vitamin! They taste like berry taffy, and they dissolve rather quickly. These do not have iron.....so I ordered the Bariatric Fusion Iron chew, which tastes like those fruit gushers in wild cherry flavor. Very good!!! Links are below for both. Bariatric pal online store also carries these products and it is cheaper by several dollars. Plus you can get additional 15% off by using the GETMESOMEBP code.
