At least when I went in, they gave me a snap-shut bag to put all of my belongings in (clothing, shoes, and anything else I had on me. In my case, my wife kept the bag, but I am sure if you are alone

If I remember correctly they asked me if I wanted to lock my valuables up before surgery. I'd inquire.

My mother in law dropped me off and my husband came when I woke up. They gave me a bag which they set aside for me in the recovery room till I went to my own room.

My surgery is on Friday! I am going to be going alone that day. Any ideas on how I'm supposed to keep track of my stuff? I know not to bring valuables, but obviously I'll want my phone and my Rny reading material and misc stuff. I know how I am and I'm going to be requesting to check on my kids as soon as I'm in recovery. If I have no one to guard my stuff, and don't have a room yet I just don't really know where I'm supposed to put my stuff. Any ideas?
