Newbie

So I am a long time lurker and only recently started posting on here. I am 28 and 5'3.5 and weigh 240lbs. I have been playing this weight game since I was a little kid and I'm ready for once and for all to beat it. I was supposed to have my surgery October 21st but just got a call today saying someone had cancelled and are moving me up to October 14th. I'm not sure why, because really it's only a weeks difference, but I suddenly feel overwhelmed. I felt like I had more time to get everything in order, and now I suddenly feel rushed. I think it's just really setting in that I am finally going to do this and start a new beginning. I'm scared but excited too. Just looking for support and any advice people would like to give me to make this transition as smooth as possible.

We all have, or will, experience these feelings right before surgery. I, like you, have struggled with my weight my entire life. When I reached that pivotal moment when I decided on wls, it was a matter of doing nothing was just no longer an option.

I came through my surgery with flying colors and I can tell you that it just keeps getting better everyday.

Take a deep breath and envision the wonderful future you have waiting.

Good luck!
