Anyone having surgery in Oct ?

I'm having my surgery Oct 5th my per op class is Sept 23rd. I'm getting super excited only thing that worries me is missing classes I just enrolled into two classes and they start the 14th I'll be missing 3 classes plus a whole week of surgery. Hoping my teachers will be okay and let me work it out so I don't fall behind or get knocked for missing class.

Added @@ChunkyChocolate to our growing October surgery list!!

Well tomorrow is my 1 week pre-op visit! Hopefully everything will still be a go!!! I've done just about everything I can but not sure if I have lost enough weight yet! I'm doing the 2 protein shakes a day & one meal for the last month. This next week will be 3 protein drinks. Still having some issues with headaches, but are better. Constipation is terrible, but getting some relief from miralax. I think I better buy the large container of the stuff lol!!!! Somedays I'm feeling so confident of what I'm getting myself into, & other days the anxiety creeps in about surgery! All good though, have a great husband who has given me full support! I'm very blessed! And the support here is just wonderful, not feeling alone at all!!!!

@@Meganedh put the 22nd on our surgery list!

I'm on a 4 week pre op, first two weeks are 3-4 protein shakes and 1 high protein, low carb meal. Then the next two weeks (last two before surgery) are 5-6 protein shakes per day. I also have unlimited SF jello, SF Popsicle and broth.

@@dede0314 it's ok! What part of the city are you in and where are you having surgery?

@@Laughingmyassoff2015 I am west, around the oak park area. How about you? I'm having it at the University of Illinois.

@@dede0314 I'm in Rogers Park. Having surgery at Northwestern Memorial

@@covarrubia911 good luck see you on the other side. Let us know when you get a chance how it went.

Wow how many people are doing Inova Fair Oaks? I will try to give a report on how the hospital is as soon as I can after surgery. What they provide and anything I wish I had brought that I didn't. With mine being 6 October I think I am the earliest Inova Fair Oaks patient in October.

Had my pre opp appointment today and everything was great tomorrow is my last nutrition class where I find out if I need to be on a liquid diet. My surgeon says just a low calorie diet 1000 or less

Surgery got pushed from the 13 to the 15 so the countdown has begun ....... 14 days to go

Good luck mine is the 20th Keep us updated
