too MANY PERIODS!!!

Recommended Posts

:help:My cycles have been like clockwork before surgery (6/6/07) but I started the day of surgery (a week early) and had 7 days worth of bleeding, stopped for 2 weeks and have started again (a week early), this time 7+ days! I am on birth control but my body is not follwoing it cycle! I know fat and hormones all work together and it's probably because I've lost 35lbs in a month, my doc said I could do this for 6 months! Anbody else going/been through this???? Should I just plan on bleeding (a LOT) all the time or whenever my body feels like? HELP!

i did this for the first month or so of being banded initially. im back to normal now but ive also stopped losing weight (need a fill, getting it soon).

it will balance itself out, but if this continues for more than four months, id schedule an appointment with your obgyn and get a professional opinion.

my period was never really regular... but after the band it got goofier... its bc your body is losing weight and its throwing of the balance ... once your body gets used to it you should be fine...

i'm in school for medical assisting and we do glucose tests on each other everyday and every single day its different like a huge difference one day it will be 68 and the next day it will be 126 but the dr said its ok because i have been loosing a lot of weight lately.

I was on Depo Provera for four years and stopped taking it back in August 2006. Had been waiting for a period...doc said that it would probably take a year for me to get one. Had the surgery on a Tuesday...Low and Behold, I got my period that Saturday. I think just having someone play with your innerds and the difference in diet makes it fluctuate some.

lo2us, let's talk about bleeding. DW had band surgery and started that day. Well, she WAS close to her due day.... That was 19 months ago and she just got it stopped. Turns out that the "trauma" and some fibrous tumors kept her bleeding this whole time. She had them removed and had an ablation about two weeks ago..... *WHEW*

Yikes! My Mom had a fibroid too, but has always had trouble. Luckily I've had none up 'til now. I'll just hang in there and if it doesn't get any better in a couple of months I'll go see my gyno. I have an appointment with my lap band doc on Thursday and I will be asking him about it and when should I get worried.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
