Any Type 2 Diabetics out there?

I'm two days out post gastric sleeve and was told to discontinue my long acting insulin but continue my oral medicine (Janumet) which states on the bottle not to break or crush. Waiting to hear from my endocrinologist but was wondering if anyone else had this issue? Also wondering how long it took to be off all diabetic medicines post sleeve.

I was taking Metformin preop. I had one insulin shot while in the hospital right after surgery and nothing else after. My sugar level was fine for the next 2 days and I was told not to take the Metformin any longer. I have had my A1C checked twice since surgery and my levels were perfect.

Wasnt on insulin, just 3000mg metformin. Oral meds were stopped 2 days pre-op & havent taken anything since. Glucose was 99 two hours post-op. I would wait to see what your endo says.
