  2. Hi! I was sleeved on August 26, 2015. I am a type 2 diabetic. I was taking Janumet two times daily and long acting insulin at bedtime. Since my surgery I have NOT taken any diabetes medication. I am still checking my sugar 4 times a day and they checked it multiple times in the hospital and it's all been good, under 120 every time. ????. Hoping to stop the finger sticks soon. Be positive! Hope this helped!
  3. Hi! I was sleeved on August 26th. At my peak I was 355 pounds. In April of this year I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic. Between that diagnosis and my sleeve surgery weigh in I was at 265. Isn't it amazing what giving up sugar and carbs can do. ???? I'm home now on the phase 1 diet and growing tired of broth and sugar free jello! How about you? What I'm finding odd is that with the liquid I have yet to feel that full feeling and my tummy has actually growled a few times. I'm happy to walk this road with you! Let me know how you're doing!
  4. Thank you so much! Just didn't want to see my blood sugar rise.
  5. I'm two days out post gastric sleeve and was told to discontinue my long acting insulin but continue my oral medicine (Janumet) which states on the bottle not to break or crush. Waiting to hear from my endocrinologist but was wondering if anyone else had this issue? Also wondering how long it took to be off all diabetic medicines post sleeve.
  6. Awesome pics. Congratulations! My surgery is in two days. Getting nervous, but excited too!
