Cardiologist Today.....

Had my ANNUAL appointment with my Cardiologist today.....it could not have gone any better. EVERYTHING is just fine.

Usually, ever since my heart attack and surgery, I have undergone yearly stress tests....today he blew it off, said there is absolutely no indication I need one...we'll wait till next spring, maybe.

Five years ago it was a different story, I was a train wreck waiting to happen. But now, all that has been turned around, and I owe it all to WLS !!!

In my case, the lap band.....

Lost all my weight, next to none body fat which also means clean and clear arteries, and can't get enough exercise because I know the more I do the better off I am....and feel.

BTW, my Cardiologist was one who didn't think I needed WLS, it was a waste of time, and all I had to do was diet and exercise...diet and exercise...diet and exercise....I was sick of hearing that. And I had to get him to sign off on it.

NOW he calls me HIS poster patient, a success, uses me as an example to other patients my age, says it can be done, you can get better.......he does not mention the WLS.....

Congrats on not needing a stress test. My dad gets them and hates them.

Yay! That's great news! So glad you are doing so well!

Terrific news, I am in the middle of my work required 5 year physical and so far doing well.

Since I am diabetic I have a new more cautious internist, My blood work last January showed my AC1 at 8 which was the first time in 6 years that it was over 6.5 but the latest AC1 on 8/5 was 5.8. Blood pressure was 121/79.

Certainly I am healthier today and am slowly working to reach my goal.

Very inspiring, B-52!
