  • After a supervised diet since November 2014, I have finally been approved by my insurance company for the surgery. Scheduled for September 16th. Thank the Lord!

  • Well, I've done it! Sleeve yesterday. Just passed my swallow test, and am hoping for a cup of tea! Fingers crossed I can get home tomorrow. Pain not too bad at all. Good luck, everyone!

I'm September 3rd too. I'm in thé UK , and currently on my 2 week pre op diet. 2 pints skimmed milk per day, plus 3 oz white fish or chicken and green veg only.

Mine is Sept 4th, I purposely scheduled it that way so I have an extra day off work due to the Labor Day holiday. I'm curious, how much time are you guys planning to take off work? I was planning to take off Sept 4-18. I'm a social worker and I'm out in the field a lot, but my doctor said I can return after two weeks on light desk duty.

I am taking 2 weeks & I will see how it goes. I work retail so I am on my feet 8-9 hours a day

I'm late Sept. I'll subscribe to see your updates and I'll post mine.

After your surgery sip Water and walk. Of course you will question your decison to have surgery. But it will all be worth it. You wouldn't have gone this route if there was a simpler way for you. Also, of course, everything about the way you eat is irrevocably changed. I am 6 weeks out. You learn to eat slowly and stop when you begin to fel full, not to be "good" but to spare yourself side effects. And it will feel great when you are out to a restaurant to have a meal with family and after eating about 1/5 of the meal in front of you push it away and say, "That was delicous. I'm done." Good luck.

September 9th for me.
