I am an hour early for my final weigh in at my surgeon's office!!

All my other requirements are complete so after this they can submit for approval!!

I have a BCBS plan so I am hoping for fast approval like some of the stories I read on here!! I will be calling to follow up regularly until I get approval!!!!

I will browse the forums to help pass the time until appointment! It seems like forever!!! ????????????

I had BCBS. My surgeons office faxed in the paperwork at 9am and I got a call back at 3pm from the doctors office scheduling me for surgery.

Seriously! I could not believe it because they told me it would take a couple weeks.

It took me about 4 days for approval with BCBS

Wow! That's fast. I have BCBS and it took 3 days.

My weigh in went great! I was down 8lbs which impressed my surgeon. They are submitting for approval this week.

I have a surgery date of 9/29 to give some time for approval. She did say that if my insurance approval came quick she would try and make surgery sooner if possible, but he is pretty busy in August!

I hope my insurance company comes back with a fast approval! ????????????????

Good luck and this is great news!!! I too have BCBS of Illinois and while they haven't submitted yet, they will be next month. My plan doesn't require a supervised weight loss prior to surgery so I am hoping I am as lucky as all of you and get approved fast! ????

I have my approval!! It was way easier than I anticipated! It was approved on 8/24, but just relieved the letter in the mail today!! ????????????????????????????

Super excited and a little nervous!!

Got a phone call today from MDs office but only to move my last appt with the exercise specialist up from Oct 22nd to this Wednesday! They also ended up submitting me to insurance this past Friday. Anyone know how long to hear back from BCBS IL? I do not have a weight loss timeframe or supervised diet

To follow pre surgery. I just started 7/28/2015 and all requirements will be done by this Wednesday. Thank you!!
