Pain----any ideas what is causing it?

I am 9 days post op and I am still having severe pain on the right side of my abdomen. It feels like it is tearing, it is not the incision. Any ideas what is causing it?

  • Your insides have been rearranged. I'm sure a lot of it is healing. I could lay in my sides. Most of my pain was on my left side. It was more like muscle pain.

Most of my pain was the side where my drain was. I couldn't lay on my sides until it was removed and had a few days to heal.

Talk to your surgeon if the pain is bad-however, I still have pain here and there occasionally and I am three months post! Muscles, incisional, insides adjusting, gas, all kinds of reasons.
