Over the counter medications?

I'm reading over a sleeve manual provided by my doctors office and I noticed there was a list of unsafe OTC meds that it says I can not longer take. Is this a permanent thing or a temporary thing? My concern is really the anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen and aleve and Naproxen. Anyone have any info on this? I'll attach pictures as well.post-257721-14386529521393_thumb.jpgpost-257721-1438652960313_thumb.jpg

My doctor sad, I can take them occasionally if really needed. He would prefer Tylenol.

No NSAIDS ever is what I was instructed.

For people who have special issues (RA, etc.) definitely talk to your surgeon and PCP. That is when they have to look carefully at the risks vs. benefits on a case-by-case basis.

Does this include non-oral medications, such as Voltaran gel?
