I recently changed jobs and my new firm requires a formal photo for the website. My photo shoot is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Even after losing 130 lbs, the thought of sitting for a photo is filling me with dread. It's so hard to wrap your head around the "new you" when old habits are so ingrained. I'm just hoping to get through the shoot with a descent photo and without a major anxiety attack. Wish me luck!

Best of luck! I have always avoided having my photo on any promotional material. I don't even have one on my LinkedIn profile. I am actually looking forward to getting to a place where I will feel comfortable getting my photo taken. Having a good professional headshot will give you such a boost. Have fun with it.

The irony on your situation is one we all may feel. When heaviest, we didn't see ourselves as fat and looked at meals and the world from the vantage point of a non-obese person. As we take the serious step of surgery to finally control our weight, we then shift to always thinking we are still heavy, even tho we have had incredible results and only a shadow physically of our former self.

You will do fine. And, hey, please share the pics with us :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
