The waiting game!

I finished up my 6 month supervised diet and a psych evaluation required by my insurance, plus the 3 nutritional visits required by my surgeon. Now I'm in the 2 week waiting zone for insurance approval.

I'm going through the process with Optum Health Bariatric program through United Healthcare. Has anyone else been through this process with UHC? If so, was it a full two weeks? Any other info you have would be great! I'm penciled in for a August 12 surgery date, dependent upon insurance approval.

I wish the same for you Karlnjax! Looking forward to the transformation.

Waiting is never easy, but you are that much closer to surgery! You'll be surprised how fast the time will fly by. Congrats!

I am waiting for an answer too. I finished my 6 month program through Kaiser on july 13 and it was submitted on the 14th.... The wait sucks :( lol I'm hoping to find people that are going through similar steps as me so we can keep up with each other through this journey. My biggest feat is being denied. Hopefully we can keep in touch. Good luck!

I'm Kaiser too and my surgery is on 07/29. If you made it through Options it's extremely rare to be denied. Hang in there!

Yes let's please encourage each other. Let me know the outcome of your approval as well as your surgery.

Thanks!

I had the same steps as you with Optum took less than 5 days.
