I have been having this sharp pain on my right side around where my liver incision is. I am 4 weeks out of surgery and this pain has been going on for about 4 days now. It seems to worsen when I sit or am crunched over. Standing and lying down used to remedy the pain but now it is sore to sleep on that side where it was fine a couple of days ago. Any thoughts? I am calling the dr today when the office opens, praying it's nothing serious. Gas pills do not seem to help the pain.

I'm sorry to hear about your pain. Did the pain start after eating, possibly something with fat in it. Pain in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen is usually concerning for gall bladder problems/gall bladder attacks etc. There's usually nausea or vomiting associated with that and perhaps very light colored stools. Good to check with the doctor sooner than later. You can't be too careful, especially with a pain getting more severe lasting 4 days. Hope everything is ok keep us updated.
