Thirteen Days Until Surgery!

I started nursing school the summer following my sophomore year of high school and completed the program and received my nursing license only a few months after graduating from high school! By this time, I had reached my highest weight of 325 pounds.

The first year and a half after completing nursing school, I slowly lost about 40 pounds; during the last three months of my surgical prep, I managed to lose another 30 pounds! I am down to 262 pounds as of my last weigh in!

My vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery is scheduled for 7.21.15!

Is there anyone else scheduled to have surgery around the same time?

What do you plan on taking with you to the hospital?

How long have you planned to be out from work?

Thank you in advance for sharing! I look forward to hearing from you all!

I have to bring my own Isopure Protein drink for the first two days. I'm taking Chapstick, gown, robe, a good book and a pillow for the ride home.

Have you started the liver reduction diet?

What WLS?

Good luck with your surgery!!!

Sorry I re-read your post. I'm also having sleeve surgery.

My cell phone, maybe a comfy loose fitting dress to wear home, deoderant, baby wipes since I likely won't shower there. Not sure what else!

Cheated Fri-Sun. Back at it today and am really resisting urges.

I did start me liver reduction diet.

I think I'm going to look in to finding a Protein shake with more protein than the one that I am currently using because I'm finding myself still being hungry throughout the day. How long does your surgeon require for you to be on the liver reduction diet? I'm on day 6 of 14!

He's requiring 2 weeks. I officially start Wednesday but decided to go ahead and start today. I cut coffee out 3 weeks ago ???????????? and started cutting back so that it wouldn't be a huge a adjustment. ????
