Dehydrated

Anyone got dehydrated and had to go get fluids at the hospital?? I started having diarrhea Thursday and haven't stopped since. Went to ER yesterday morning and got fluids and started to feel better. I'm just concerned about a leak. Wouldn't I be having abdominal pain if I did have a leak ??? Diarrhea is better today. But I'm terrified of having a leak. Dehydrated from diarrhea or leak???

A leak would cause pain, rapid heartbeat, fever, fatigue. Use the search function on this board for other posts about leaks.

Did the hospital give you anything for the diarrhea? Imodium? What are you drinking? You may have become lactose intolerant or your Protein drinks may not agree with you. Vitamin Water Zero and G2 have electrolytes which are always good to replace when you have diarrhea.

Hope you feel better.

Yes I have been taking a lot of Imodium. No never. No pain. Some nausea and fatigue. I'm hoping it's just a stomach virus but they gave me flagyl just incase it is CDIFF. I'm ok with diarrhea just terrified of a leak. No fever no pain.

Did you call your doctor Thursday? You should follow up with him/her ASAP to find out what is causing the diarrhea and voice your concerns about a possible leak.
