I had my 1st appt on yesterday. The surgeon answered all my questions and gave me a list of things I have to do. We're trying to do the 3 month approval. I have to schedule my NUT appt, get a chest X

  • I have to due 6 appointments before insurance will consider the surgery. My 4th appt. this month I haven't seen a nutritionist as of yet. Listening to some of you I feel like I'm behind I some areas.

For me it went unusually fast. Had my appointment the 18th of june and had my gastric sleeve surgery done 1st of july. Haha. Its going to be a tough road for all of us but hopefully its worth it at the end. ♡

My first appointment is on July 9 th and I will meet with the insurance specialist, surgeon, nut, and psychologist for all the initial reviews, I'm going through Vanderbilt in Nashville so they have all the Drs in one office. I have researched these procedures for years and I am praying that all goes smoothly for a quick insurance approval. My pcp has already said she will sign off that I've been working on losing weight on my own for over 6 months if the insurance wants it. I'm 36 and it's time my weight gets in control. I'm hoping for a surgery date by about mid October so I can build up some PTO for the recovery time.

my first appt with surgeon is August 6th, I hope o do nut & psych appointment, endoscopy, and echo cardiogram (sp) completed by September 30th and surgery sometime after October 1st! I'm excited!!!

Awesome! My 1st appointment with my nutritionist is on August 6. But unfortunately I'm going to have to wait until next summer to get my surgery. Good luck with everything.

Yes!! I have seen surgeon 3 times this month will be my 4th visit. I was told I have to do 6. Listening to the others I feel off track. I haven't seen any one but the surgeon and had an upper GI. I will see psychologist the 16th.

Had my first nurse appt today was great!! I have already been through all the steps this is my second and final time going through this process because I started last year and was 3/4ths of the way through it and got cold feet but not this time I am ready and focused!! Keep in touch since we are all around same progress
