Fruit craving

Hey guys, has anyone had any unusual cravings for fruit? Be it canned or fresh lately I've had this urge to eat more. This happened after I got sick with the flu, but now that I've recovered it's the same thing.

I'm taking my Multivitamins and ensure, so it's weird to be honest, not that it bothers me as I love fruit, I just didn't have this "urge" as if it were thirst (I'm well hydrated btw).

I find that I have to eat some fruit to keep my digestion system running ok. Otherwise, get really constipated. I rehydrate a bit of dried fruit, including dried prunes, apples, and pears, and have 1/2 cup of this cooked mix a day.

I am six months out and I eat fruit daily with no complications. I usually have it in the morning.

I absolutely crave fresh fruit in particular. I have been eating a piece of fruit every day since week 4 post op. One of my favorites is a fresh crisp apple (no skins) dipped in Peanut Butter. Apples make a good vehicle instead of crackers or bread for peanut butter and even cheese.

It is one of the best treats ever, you get Fiber from the fruit, good carbs and Protein and good fats from the peanut butter!

Yummy!

I lovvvvve fresh fruit, but I do save it for morning so that I have the rest of the day to deal with the carbs and sugar. Yes, it does help with digestion.

Good to see I'm not the only one, thanks for your responses. Lately I've changed to canned mandarin wedges in water instead of heavy syrup and it has worked wonders with the cravings.

I eat two strawberries and a handful of blueberries most days. I realize I get some intestinal discomfort from them so I skip a day in between. But I so enjoy them when I do eat it. Don't really know why it bothers my tummy.

I eat 2 serving of fresh fruit daily. My blood sugar will run low if I dont.
