Question

I'm day four and can drink three swallows in a row of milk or water with ApplE juice... I've not once felt like barfing. Should I be drinking this much just because I can? Could it develop into a leak?

I was drinking very easily after the 3rd day too! That worst of the swelling is going down. I know that if you really drink more than your little stomach can hold, it will come back up. Still, err on the side of caution and pace your sips out a little...

I'm on day 4 and I'm the same way. I don't feel any restriction on liquids but from what I have read, that is pretty normal. The restriction starts when you get to actual food in the next few weeks. I'm just plugging along.

Me too thanks

I had no problems drinking liquids after surgery. Protein shakes, water, crystal light...it all went down pretty quick. This is by no means a complaint, I personally felt this was a blessing. Once I got to purées I could for sure feel restriction. A few spoons of refried beans and I'm done.
