Just... Ready

Any one pre-op almost finished & just feeling.. Ready? I had my periods of obsessive & excited research.. Found this site leading to inspiration & alot of wisdom .. All the pre op appts, tests, insurance calls and follow ups... It's all soooo much. I'm ready to have my date & move forward to the big step! **rant over** lol

How are your pre op journeys going ?

@@Genevieve L Thompson : I am just glad to be on holiday for 16 days, as time seems to really drag. I have bought a couple of books and found this site recently but there does come a time when you just want to get it done! I start my pre op liquid diet on 2/07/2015. Bring it on!!

Best wishes

Kate

I have been on protein shakes and veggies for 9 days. The first four days were VERY hard. I had a lot of headaches even though I was drinking tons of water. The headaches subsided day 5 but then I started craving meat (very odd). I wanted chicken and burgers...but I stuck to the prescribed diet and now I'm down twelve pounds and doing fine. On Saturday I switch to clear liquids for 2 days, then surgery Monday!! Yikes!
