Just sleeved Friday may 29

Hello everyone, my name is Jaterika I just had surgery Friday and I'm feeling way better today then Friday. My weight before it all was 298 the day of surgery after a week of liquid diet was 288 and Sunday I was 284. I have not weighed myself since Sunday so I won't be disappointed or anything but my follow up appt is Wednesday. I'm excited about my journey so far even though I miss food like no other.

Its just hard when your at home ant everyone around you is eating everything you love and your like well got my protein drink and sugar free jello

Head hunger was the hard part for me in the early days. I would see a pizza commercial on TV or something and what it sooooo badly, even though I knew that if I actually ate it, I would make myself horribly ill. It does get easier, I promise.

It is so hard. I know it's in my head, but those thoughts and habits die hard. Initially when I would go to restaurants with family, I even secretly resented them for being able to eat all the things I wanted. What I do now that helps: I'll order a smoothie or a frozen drink without the alcohol. I've found anything frozen goes down for me, and then you're not just mooning at their food, lol. I think it's really more about having something to do, so even hot tea works.
