So I have 4 kids and now it seems like they are all getting a cough and not feeling well. I have surgery in a week and a half and I'm terrified I'm going to get sick and not be able to have surgery. My mother-in-law is coming up from another state to help with the kids while I'm at the hospital. Did anyone have this issue before surgery? I'm not supposed to be taking anything either so do I just hope for the best?

I had a bad cold the week before surgery. I kept in touch with the nurse at the Bariatric practice and the hospital. I was told as long as I didn't have a temperature I would be fine. The surgery did take place but the coughing made it very difficult in recovery process.

My suggestion is to load up on absorbic vitamin c 1000 milligrams so that u don't get sick. I was battling with post nasal drip the day before my surgery and loaded myself on vitamin C. I would say it has worked

Yes I was just reading some of your posts as well and saw we were the same size and our dates are close. Mine is June 3rd. I will try the Netipot. I didn't think about that. I was told I can only take my BP pills but nothing else. Including vitamins. PRAYING I am not sick in a week and a half. It's getting close!!

I am going to call the surgeons office tomorrow and see if they can help me with it. My throat is sore this morning. So hopefully I can knock it out before the 3rd.
