Appointment #2

Appointment #1 with surgeon went well. Now I have to meet my requirments as I'm shooting for a late June surgery date. I need an EKG, Blood work, Psych eval, and 1 pre-op class, and then I'm ready!!! I have my appointment with my primary care Dr. on 8/21 to do everything except psych. Hoping for the best and a smooth next step :)

Sounds like you are on your way! I had my 1st appointment Jan 20th and am having surgery May 27th. My process was smooth and easy...it seemed slow in the beginning but then things went fast. Good luck to you!

Thanks I'm sooooo excited everyday waiting feels like torture.

Omg im sooo worried too...ive done all the requirements and now im really worried if my insurance will approve my surgery....i havent seen my pcp for like 5yrs but i kept gaining and gaining weight...ive seen ppol at work that did the surgery but they are so private and seems like they dont wanna talk about it....but anyways, they encourage me to go for it and one day like in the beginning of march 2015, i just woke up and said i need to start this so i went on a seminar which is the first step of the progr and was basically done 2 weeks ago with all the requirements...now i think the surgery coordinator is now working on getting my auth....ughhh im nervous cuz my insurance might deny it cuz i have no records of being obese that i was gaining weight for the last 4 yrs cuz i havent been to my pcp.....now i changed pcp and i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea and my bmi is like 41 somethings.....ughh i really want this surgery and i know it wil really help me alot to change my life for better
