Just wondering how many Illinois Sleevers are out there.

I'm in Chicago. I had my VSG at Northwestern by Dr Nagle on March 3.

I'm in highland park. I had my surgery April 27 at north shore university by Dr haggerty

I am Chicagoan. Had surgery at Northwestern on 9 February Dr. Nagles partner Dr. Hungness. Doing ok. Do you attend the support groups at Northwestern?

I went to the April support group and will probably be at May's. Do you go?

JPacella, I haven't but if you go, I will try to also. I have 2 little people and can't go unless my hubby is home. That would be so cool.

Sleeved 4/13/2015 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Dr. Christopher Joyce was my surgeon. Excellent surgeon and superb hospital. Recovery has been very smooth. First check in with the surgeon tomorrow.

I'm meeting with his partner tomorrow! Very excited! How long from fist appointment to surgery?? I'm ready!

kk-Bear, my first appointment where he approved my surgery if I passed all the permissions from Cardiologist, psychologist, and pulminologist was about six weeks before surgery. From my paper signing day and doctor review there were 4 days before surgery. The hospital experience was excellent and I had very caring nurses. I actually walked three rounds around my floor the evening of my afternoon surgery. By day two I was able to make thirty rounds in groups of ten rounds. Walking was the key to keep the gas from settling in my joints which I'm told is very painful. Day I came home from the hospital I walked a mile with minimal discomfort. I've followed BMI's regimen to the letter. They really know what they are talking about. I'm in day two of soft Protein and 1/2 C vegetables.

I thought it was weird not seeing anyone from the area with as many people go to those seminars. So far I am really liking the people who work in the office. Seem like very helpful and caring staff

I had my consultation and really liked everyone I interacted with, doctor, staff and nurse! It was so nice! Made all my appointments for clearance this month!!
