Thirsty all the time

Had RNY on March 25. I meet my water requirement but am thirsty all the time. My mouth is always dry. The dental hygienist even noticed this when getting my teeth cleaned. Is this normal?

Thirst is one of the symptoms of Ketosis.

Has your blood work come back normal? I'm a year out and find that getting my fluids is the hardest part of this. I'm just starting to feel thirsty again.

I think wildgrits is correct. It is probably Ketosis which is totally expected at this stage. Also I bet your breath stinks! (LOL, sorry but I know it is probably true). You will also notice things taste different.......

Welcome to the losers club!

I have it, too. I found that sucking on a sugarless candy (I love the Jolly Rancher ones!) helps a lot.

I did not experience this, but you can try Biotene, it is supposed to help with that.
