Dry, Flakey Skin

I am three weeks post op and I just started noticing that my skin is flaking off, especially on my stomach. My arms and legs are incredibly dry as well. Does anyone else have this similar problem with their skin?

You have really depleted the moisture in your skin, by reducing fluids and fats. I use CeraVe (find it at Walmart) in the BIG tub (around $16) cream. It is awesome stuff, and lasts all day. Good luck to you!

I was one of the fortunate few that did not lose hair, but my skin was very dry during that same period ( three-six months out) and my fingernails sooooooo brittle. I was and still am taking 20,000 mg of Biotin every day, but it wasn't until I added Gelatin every day that I saw an inprovement with my nails. Fifteen months out, my hair, skin, and nails are the healthiest they have ever been in my 63 years.
