I did today also! But my cycle started before I left the hospital Wednesday so just to get over this hurdle would be amazing!

No sign here:-)

I did yesterday and was so excited haha. Nothing today but glad to be moving some of the gas out :)

@@craigcu sounds awful. Where were you bleeding from? Hope all sorted now

hi Rosie, they finally decided it had happened at surgery and was one of those rare cases where some blood stayed inside the stomach. Which when intestines were finally working, came out. So, when the drain was pulling normal fluids out and ct scan did not show additional bleeding, took a wait and see approach. Hemocrit is your most important number to watch for improvement in this case.. And I was verifying everything I was being told real time with my cousins (a surgeon and an internal med doc). I would ask for photos of my lab reports and text them to my team to keep me sane..

These are small but I still off just a small piece and it dissolves really fast. One or two of these babies and my salty side is happy!

I woke up today feeling really weak. I felt like I was going to pass out while making breakfast for my family. I immediately started taking my sips of water which seemed to help a little. I got through almost half the bottle. I made my protein shake and started sipping too. Felt full so I stopped but still feel weak. I feel a headache coming on too :'(

I felt like that last night and got really nauseated. Took some phenergan and it put me out cold. Feeling better this morning. Those cheese things look amazing! I'm scared of going off my "ok" list from the surgeon though. Probably will just stick to licking pretzels hahaha!

I am the same about going off my ok list. Maybe it's the nurse in me.

Oh man.. my husband comes home from Wal-Mart today with cookies chips pizza for my kids even though we had agreed we were going to change everyone's eating habits. I nearly cried. So everyone is munching on pizza and I'm sitting there trying to get down sips of water. I felt so bad I just went to my room to take a nap. Then he asks me what's wrong? Ughhhh I had no words. I've been pretty much quiet all day. I just want to sleep and wake up when it's time to eat regular food. And when I say regular I mean healthy food of course. I've always loved cooking and kicked ass in the kitchen when it came to healthy recipes. My problem before the surgery was I didn't know when to stop. I could eat tons of whole wheat pasta or brown rice. I always wanted something sweet after every meal which is where I would usually mess up. Anyway just had to let this out

:(

I am feeling a bit stronger still on clear liquids my surgery was on 5/20? How long before you went to full liquids? Would love to have a shake
